Our 2026 summer Trend predictions !!

Today we are talking about our personal trend predictions for this summer! But first we’d like to say that you don’t need to follow trends, if you don’t like any of the clothes or music here that’s ok! And don’t buy anything just because we said it will be ‘trending’ <3 be yourself!

Music

2026- the year for the hyper pop girls !

from 2023 to 2025 the music trends have been pretty much pure pop!! with the rise of artists such as Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan, and Charli XCX in 2024 and Addison Rae, Zara Larsson, and Oliva Dean in 2025, pop music has been booming.

But what's in the cards for 2026??

We cant talk about new music without talking about Harry Styles new single "Aperture", this synth pop, track is completely different to anything he has released (and we are so here for it!)  But will this change music trends for the near future? In our opinion yes, House music has been popular for a long time in Ireland but not on a major level. And artists like Addison Rae and Charli XCX  have been bringing hyper pop elements into the mainstream for a while, so we wouldn’t be surprised if 2026 was the year for synth pop!

Fashion

From Marty supreme blue to iPhone 17 orange, 2025 was definitely the year for colours, we saw a miniature 80s revival (most likely due to the hype around Stranger Things) With bright colours and chunky accessories, and we believe that the bright colours will continue into the spring/summer of 2026!! Lets take a look on what we think will trend this year.

Colour, colour, colour!!!

This year we think we will be seeing a lot more colour. In the last few years the rise of "sad beige" has really affected our fashion, two colours we saw a lot were burgundy and beige, and they definitely had their moment but its time to switch it up! 

Some of our colour predictions include: Seafoam green, lilac, and baby pink, especially in the springtime.

Lace and layering 

We are obsessed with lace at the moment and are glad to see other people are too! In recent we've seen lots of lace being used as an accessory piece in outfits, such as belts, headbands and even scarfs.

 But it isn't just lace, silk has also been getting its own moment. So our prediction for 2026 is dainty cute accessories being used to spice up and outfit and and some texture!

Boohoo boho

Boho details are subtly making their way back right now and one of the mains aspects of the boho style is western boots! 

From cowboys to fringe, western boots are a must have staple in your wardrobe. These chunky boots look particularly good with a frilly skirt or some jeans, but wear them with whatever you want as they are very versatile.

Love you lots like polka dots!

In 2026 we are entering our ladybug era and embracing polka dots. As we well know every year has had its own pattern, and this year our prediction is polka dots, a perfect way to make your outfit go from boring to chic or cute!

In terms of other patterns stripes will most likely make and appearance as they have been popping up all over our Pinterest and Tiktok feeds, another way to spice up an outfit. 

And that the end of our fashion overview, hopefully you are inspired to try and find new ways to make your outfits look cute, lets move on!

The age of Analog 

It all started with people buying digital cameras, and now people are starting to listen to cd's again, it seems like people are rejecting modern technology and embracing 2000's technology, this is great for many reasons, it reduces the usage of phones, which even though we don't want to admit it are definitely ruining our way we view the world and ourselves.

We predict the next big vintage item will be DVD players, as people are slowly but surely getting sick of paying for 20 subscriptions all at once and DVD players have no strings attached! This may lead to the reopening of old video stores like we saw with HMV opening back up in the Crescent.

But a downside of this maybe the "trendiness" of it all, turning this amazing way to reduce screentime to just a microtrend that will last a month. So if you do buy some old tech, use it! Take pictures on your camera, or listen to music on your vinyl!
